Hi Liz,
Thanks for the comments and for the link to hand pollination. I waited a couple of days to find male and female flowers, but they seem to be taking turns. I suppose I need to pluck one kind and preserve it, wait for the other kind to develop and hand pollinate.Cheers.

I have zucchinis and the yellow crookneck type. THere is a like about hand pollination with good photos

Hey, I tried to leave a comment yesterday, but WordPress was down for maintenance when I tried to submit! HAHAHA! I hate those templates too. It's so frustrating. Your cucumbers look great and it looks like the zucchini has flowers? Squashes have both male and female flowers on the same plant. So no there is no trouble setting fruit with just one. If you do have trouble with pollination, you can help out the bees by doing it by hand. There are a lot of articles on the net about hand pollination. I haven't needed to do it myself. Btw, I LOVE Ninja Warrior! Do you know the show? I have seen previews for an "American version"....They totally ruined it!
